PowerPoint Animation Workaround
MagicINFO Server accepts PowerPoint files as content, and many teams prefer building signage material in PowerPoint because it is a familiar tool. There is one important limitation: the signage players cannot render animations, transitions, or other motion effects created inside PowerPoint. A presentation uploaded as a PowerPoint file plays as a sequence of static slides — any animated elements are lost.
Export the presentation as a video
To show the presentation with its animations intact, export it from PowerPoint as a video file and upload that video instead:
- Finish the presentation in PowerPoint, including all animations and transitions.
- Choose File > Export.
- Select
MP4as the output format. - Run the export and wait for PowerPoint to render the video.
The resulting MP4 plays back exactly as the presentation looks in PowerPoint, animations included. Upload it to the server like any other video — see Step 2: Upload Content from Your Computer.
Exported presentation videos can be large. Consider running the MP4 through HandBrake before uploading — see Optimizing video with HandBrake.
