Managing devices by group
The devices connected to MagicINFO Server can be grouped for efficient management.
Click (Device) on the main menu bar.
In practice
- Move screens into a group before you publish to it. Publishing to a group that is still empty binds nothing, so screens added later inherit no schedule until you publish again.
- A group holds exactly one content schedule. Delete that schedule and the group silently falls back to its empty
<group name>_defaultschedule: screens go grey or blank, and no error appears anywhere. - In build 21.1070 the tree counts only devices placed directly in a group, so a parent whose screens all sit in sub-groups shows 0. Nothing is lost; open the sub-group or the organization root.
