Sign In to MagicINFO Server: Login URL and Port

MagicINFO Server sign-in page

  1. In a web browser, open http://<server IP address>:<port>/MagicInfo. The MagicINFO Server sign-in page appears.
  2. Enter your user ID and password and click Sign In.

The login URL

  • <server IP address> is the IP address (or DNS name) of the computer MagicINFO Server is installed on.
  • <port> is the web port selected when MagicINFO Server was installed. The defaults are 7001 for HTTP and 7002 for HTTPS. See MagicINFO Ports Explained: 7001, 7002, 443 and the Screen.
  • The /MagicInfo path at the end of the address is case-sensitive.

There is no central MagicINFO sign-in website: every server has its own address. More examples and checks are in MagicINFO Login: Find Your Server's Sign-in Page.

Accounts

  • Installing MagicINFO Server creates one general administrator account. Its user ID is admin, and its password is the one entered during installation.
  • Every organization has at least one organization administrator. To sign in as an organization administrator after the first installation, use the ID and password created during setup.
  • New users must sign up first and can sign in only after an administrator approves them.
  • MagicINFO Server 9 asks every account to set up two-step verification with an authenticator app at the first sign-in.
  • For security, change your password after the first sign-in: Setting > My Account > My Information > Edit.
  • Administrators can issue a temporary password to a user who is locked out. The password is sent by e-mail, so the SMTP server must be set up first in Setting > Server Management > Server Settings > SMTP Server (see Server Settings).

If sign-in fails with an error message, see "An unexpected error has occurred" at MagicINFO Sign-in.
