Server Settings: E-mail (SMTP), LDAP, Passwords
View or modify MagicINFO Server settings.
- Click
(Setting) > Server Management on the main menu bar.
- Click Server Settings.
- After modification of settings, select Enable.
- Select Enable to activate each individual function.
- The server configuration can be modified for each organization. Click Server Management. Select an organization from the dropdown list.
- The items that can be set may vary depending on the organization.
- SMTP is stored per organization, and password-reset mail uses the requesting user's own organization with no fallback to the server-wide entry. Fill in SMTP for every organization whose users should be able to reset a password.
- The sender address is the SMTP Login ID; there is no separate From field, so the login must be a real mailbox.
- SSL ticked means implicit TLS (usually port 465); unticked, the server uses STARTTLS (usually port 587).
- There is no test-mail button: trigger a real password reset to check. See Password-reset e-mail not arriving.

MagicINFO Server administrators (general administrator and organization administrators) do not require special privileges to be set as they already have permission to manage all devices connected to MagicINFO Server.
-
External Link Turns on the External Link function, so that shortcuts to other websites can be added in Settings.
General and organization administrators need no extra device privileges: they can already manage every device connected to the server.
