Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step to the MagicINFO Server sign-in. In addition to the account password, each login requires a one-time password (OTP) generated by an authenticator app. Even if a password is compromised, an attacker cannot sign in without the second factor.
Starting with MagicINFO Server version 9, two-factor authentication is mandatory — every user account must complete the OTP enrollment before it can sign in.
Supported authenticator apps
The OTP can be generated with any standard TOTP authenticator app, including:
- Google Authenticator (Google OTP)
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
