MagicINFO Lite vs. Premium
MagicINFO is available in a Lite and a Premium edition. Both use the same server dashboard and web interface, so switching between them does not change how the product looks — the difference is in what you can do with content and devices.
MagicINFO Lite
Lite is aimed at uploading and managing content that is created elsewhere — for example images and videos produced in Photoshop, PowerPoint, or Canva, or ready-made video files. Uploaded content can be added to playlists and scheduled to devices in the normal way.
Lite also supports multi-user access: administrators can create additional user accounts and control what each user is allowed to do.
Device management in Lite is limited to a basic overview. It does not include remote control of display hardware settings, so if remote hardware control is not a requirement, Lite can be sufficient.
MagicINFO Premium
Premium includes everything in Lite and adds:
- Web Author — a content authoring tool for editing content, creating widgets, and embedding web elements such as RSS feeds, web pages, or several media items displayed at once. See Web Author.
- Remote control of devices — hardware settings of a connected display can be adjusted directly from the server, with no need to be physically at the screen. See Controlling a device remotely.
- Advanced playlist features — additional options for building smart, condition-driven playlists.
