Step 3: Publish Content to a Display with a Schedule

The content can be published based on the created schedule for the registered device. Click icon(Schedule) on the main menu bar.

In practice
  • A device group holds one schedule at a time. Publishing replaces the group's previous schedule, and deleting the published schedule drops the group back to an empty schedule created with the group (its name ends in _default). The screens then go blank with no error anywhere, so publish the replacement before you delete the old one.
  • Outside the scheduled times a display shows the MagicINFO logo; it does not switch off. Schedule content for 24 Hours and let the display's on/off timer decide when the panel is dark.
  • Schedule times run on each display's own clock and time zone, not the server's. See Schedule plays at the wrong time.

Creating common schedules

  1. Click Create Schedule > Content.
  2. The Create Schedule window appears.
  3. Select a device to publish the schedule from Supported Devices.
  • Common schedules are compatible with all device types.
  • Higher-performance devices than the selected device are automatically included in the selection. For example, if you select S2 Player , higher versions, such as S3 Player, I Player, are automatically selected.
  • Supported Devices only displays device types for the devices that have currently licenses registered on MagicINFO Server.
  1. From Schedule Type, select General.
  • The options available under Schedule Type vary depending on the selected device types.
  • For details on schedule types, see Create a Content Schedule: All Options. The Create Schedule window appears.

Viewing date, channel, and frame

  1. You can move to the date to publish content by clicking the left or right arrow button. When Today is clicked, the current date is selected.
  2. You can change the viewing type to daily, monthly, or list.
  3. Set the channel to publish a content. When the button is clicked, the corresponding pop-up menu appears. Click Edit Channel, select the channel, and then click OK. A channel is similar to a TV broadcast channel. Add channels when creating a schedule and then publish the channels to devices. This allows you to play desired content by changing device channels. For details on changing channels, see Changing device channels.
  4. Select a screen frame for a device to which to distribute the schedule. Play a content file on the device screen split according to the selected frame. When the button is clicked, the corresponding pop-up menu appears. To change the frame, click Edit Frame. You can add or modify the frame.
