Customizing dashboard layout
Add frequently used features to the dashboard.
In practice
- The disk shown under Server Storage usually also holds the web server's logs. On busy servers the access logs alone grew by about 100 MB a day and, with no retention set, reached many gigabytes. Set a retention period (
maxDayson the access-log valve in Tomcat'sserver.xml); we keep 30 days. - An External Server failure is not always a dead service. The check calls the remote-management (RM) address the server is configured with, so if that address is only reachable from outside your network, the check can time out now and then while displays are fine. Point it at an address the server itself can reach.
